Shades is a spectacled bear, named for their facial markings that look like the bears is wearing a pair of glasses! The Spectacled Bear is the only surviving species of bear native to South America. It has black fur with a distinctive almond-coloured marking across its face and upper chest.

Shades is made from extra-long hair black and almond plush, is fully jointed, and his body and limbs pellet weighted and his big black paw pads have hand-stitched claws. He sports a collar around his great big grizzly neck decoracted with antique finished bells.
