Steiff Ice Teddy Bear, a stunning bear with an unusual heritage… The conception of this gorgeous bear began with the production of an amazing mohair sample supplied by Steiff Schulte in early 2011. This mohair had a subtle vintage pale cream backing with a pale blue/ice-white tipped long pile. So the challenge became to create a teddy to fit the coat… Ice teddy bear was created.... using this stunning pale blue mohair with ice white tipping over a subtle vintage pale cream backing. He is fully jointed with all the l features associated with a tradition Steiff bear. Based on a 1908 design, he has long sweeping arms and a small hump on his back and a deep sonorous growler in his tummy. His face has perfectly proportioned features, with a long snout topped with a hand embroidered pale brown nose between a pair of sparkling black eyes.
