Many people also know that his favourite food is marmalade and that he originally comes from Darkest Peru. Well this year, 2008, Paddington will celebrate his 50th Birthday Steiff have lovingly recreated  this very special character With his wide brimmed hat and intricately crafted pale blue felt duffle coat and little brown suitcase, These were the colours as used on the recent celebrated television series . He is 23cm tall, fully jointed, and the pale mohair from which he is handmade is surface washable, He has the white ear tag with red lettering held firmly with the famous gold plated “button-in-ear”
