Steiff 1908 Black Mohair Teddy

First produced as four distinct colour way samples for the British market in 1908 this superb bear represents the last of quartet of colours ways in black-tufted short pile mohair. He is 35cm tall and firmly stuffed in the traditional Steiff way with quality wood shavings and is endowed with new soft-tone growler in his chest. He has shiny black boot-button eyes and his little chocolate coloured nose is horizontally stitched and is sealed with bees wax. Finally he has the world renown black & white tag held to his tiny ear by the traditional gold plated Steiff ‘Button-in-ear’ and is from a limited edition of 3000 pieces worldwide.
