A fascinating Limited Edition 15" golden Mohair Archive Bear, smartly dressed in a period Royal Mail postmaster’s cap. This handsome bears is hand made with traditional Merrythought style at their Ironbridge factory in Shropshire England.

Fully jointed with contrasting felt paw pads and the Merrythought tag sewn into his right foot pad.

Whilst looking through the paper archives at the Merrythought factory they discovered a batch of very special and rather important letters. All the letters had been posted on the 6th of September 1939 just a few days after war had been declared on Germany. The letters give a fascinating incite in to the state of the manufacturing community and due to uncertainty in the big cities these letters had been "returned to sender" as the recipients had "gone away". We have reproduced one of these returned letters in to a certificate that is hand signed by Oliver Holmes. (Please note this is a copy of the original letter, envelope and stamp)
