Steiff’s Teddy Monty is a most splendid Bear, spectacular in every way, He´s a colour never before attempted in Steiff´s long history. He is made from a short-pile mohair, hand-dyed using a batik technique to a rich purple, over a lighter purple cotton backing material and as a finishing touch, a very subtle overcoat coat of gold pigment is applied by hand to give him an almost mystical appearance. Monty has golden brown paw pads of custom-made woollen felt, with stitched claws of golden thread.

Monty has a hand cast bronze Blossom Bell on a gold cord around his neck which is styled on one originally used for special ceremonies in India.

Limited Edition of 1500 pieces worldwide and bearing the gold-plated "button in ear" and red and white label exclusive to Steiff Limited Editions.

Delivered in a Steiff gift box with numbered certificate of authenticity
