Steiff's Wistful Happy teddy bear is a replica of an 1912 vintage bear that recently went ‘under the hammer’ at the Steiff summer auction in 2012 and achieved a price nearly as handsome as the bear its self….

True to the original, he is made from the finest brown tipped mohair to resemble the original bear, whose dark tipping has faded over time. He has further airbrushing to achieve that vintage ‘handled’ look airbrushing on his ears, neck and all his seams, giving the impression of ageing on his pale blonde mohair coat.

Wistful Happy bear has dark brown pupil eyes and a brown embroidered nose and mouth. He is stuffed with traditional wood shavings and fully jointed, with a loose jointed head has a squeaker in his tummy.

Limited Edition of 1000 Limited Edition worldwide he proudly bears the black and white label held firmly with a replica underscored Steiff motif patinated steel "button in ear".

He will arrive in a Steiff box, complete with numbered certificate of authenticity
